We provide trauma-informed and affirming counseling and psychiatry. We utilize integrative therapies and prescribing along with other holistic healing (e.g. Reiki, Shamanic healing).

Individual/Couples/Family Therapy: Sessions from 45-60 minutes, insurance accepted based on provider. See ‘Meet The Catalyst Team’ for more information about specific providers. Our full rates are $150/individual session ($200 for one time intake); however, we do offer reduced rates based on income as low as $50.

[Equation for self pay rate: Annual household income x .1% (or .001), rounded up to the next $25 increment]

Psychiatry: Sessions from 25-60 minutes, some insurance accepted. You also have the option of selecting a 60 minute integrative psychiatry appointment that is individualized to your need. This could include traditional psychiatry in combination with energy-based healing strategies. This is at the self pay rate of $300/hr.

Mindfulness-based Programming and Group Therapy: We offer yoga, sound healing, health and breath coaching, meditation, and group process therapy. Check out our latest groups! Regarding some of our practice specialties:

TRAUMA RESOLUTION

Traumatic experiences cause tremendous problems in people’s lives. It is my belief that the impact of trauma can be reduced and eliminated using research based strategies. At Catalyst, we trained in a variety of trauma resolution approaches, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Narrative Exposure Therapy. The sooner you get started, the more joyful and genuine your life will be. Examples of traumatic experiences include sexual molestation, sexual assault, emotional abuse, physical abuse, neglect, domestic violence, death of a loved one, and community violence. It is important that one processes these traumatic events to ensure that the past does not continually impact one’s present. We all deserve the right to grow, love, and be happy.

SEXUALITY & GENDER

Conquering LGBTQIA+ related issues can be very difficult; however, becoming fully comfortable with one’s authentic self can be life changing. Doing so with the right clinician is also key. It’s important to work through any internal or external conflict related to your sexuality or gender identity. It is important to feel connected and supported when coming out, experiencing discrimination, creating a family, etc. In addition, this practice is also well experienced on the specific needs of the trans* community. Catalyst therapists are members of the Indiana Transgender Network and Outcare. We follow the WPATH Standards of Care. We are accustomed to processing the decisions surrounding transition, writing the required letters, processing the impact of transition within a couple, and supporting individuals through the experience in its entirety. Wherever you fall on the spectrum of sexuality and gender , there is no time like today to work on becoming the healthiest and most genuine you.

WOMEN’S ISSUES

Women deserve a focus on their unique needs and barriers. We are here to help work through problems that women face and often feel alone in. Examples include infertility, miscarriage, child loss, trouble adjusting to parenthood, pregnancy/birth/breastfeeding/parenting being a trigger of past sexual trauma, self-esteem and body image issues, assertiveness, fluctuations in libido, and more. Using feminist theories and cognitive behavioral approaches we can work to rid you of negative core beliefs so you can achieve your ideal self. Doing this can drastically improve the other areas of your busy life as well.

LIVING WELL

Truly practicing wellness and caring for one’s self is not easy to do. The culture in which we live promotes anxiety and feeds depression, among other difficult mental health issues. It is very normal to get stuck in habits that perpetuate these conditions. Sometimes what we need most is accountability—a plan that is monitored to modify behaviors you know do not serve you. We need someone to help us identify and monitor our practice of healthy habits for enhancing life quality. We get exactly one life, and sometimes we need an objective support to ensure that we are doing the things nourishing for our body and soul. This can include regular self-care, calm routine, behavioral modification/planning, processing relationships with exercise and nutrition, finding joy with chronic illness, personal training, etc. We genuinely understand the struggle. Let’s look at your life patterns and find a way of being in the world that better suits the real you. Check out our massage, wellness coaching, and more page for more information on services outside of individual therapy.
