Allison Snoddy

THERAPIST

BIO

My name is Allison (she/they). I am a queer mother of two who took a nontraditional path before returning to school to become a therapist. I am hoping to walk beside you as you navigate your own journey, no matter your age, gender, race, orientation, or belief system. I have experience working with queer and/or trans youth and adults in both group and individual therapy. Additionally, I have counseled nonmonogamous and/or polyamorous individuals and individuals who engage in kink. I practice trauma-informed care, recently completing level one of EMDR training, and I focus on relational and attachment issues and how they affect our wellbeing. I practice EFT, CBT, DBT, ACT, and play therapy to empower clients to explore their identities, to deconstruct self-limiting beliefs, and to identify their own values and goals. I believe that with community love and care, we can (and must) remake oppressive systems.

I graduated from Ball State University in 2026 with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am currently working towards my LMHC licensure. Prior to coming to Catalyst, I served internships with Muncie OUTreach and Lifetime Counseling Services. Previously, I used my passion for social justice and sustainability as a hygiene need advocate with various nonprofits.

Outside of counseling, I enjoy participating in community theater, spending time with my kiddos, and visiting parks, museums, and coffee shops. I love traveling, foraging, and baking pies. I’m looking forward to learning more about you!
